Following two years of extensive testing and development, the T2 is the second generation of backyard racing kart to come out of the T Karts design center. An evolution of the hugely successful T1, the new T2 incorporates both subtle updates with some more comprehensive changes in order to achieve several goals set out by the designers of the T1. T2 design goals included:

• Better slow speed handling
• Improved entry and mid-corner balance
• Improved braking capacity and feel
• Better front end grip
• Greater chassis adjustability
• Accommodate a broader range of driver sizes
• Improve weight transfer efficiency
• Simplify and isolate controls for greater ease of entry and driver changes
• Improved motor mounting
• Incorporate CIK/FIA approved bumpers and bodywork
• Improved frame-to-frame consistency
• Greater reliability and lower maintenance
• Equalize performance through tire choice and weight parity
• Maintain an affordable price

By partnering with some of the industries most respected suppliers including Honda Engines, Maxxis Tires, Motion Pro Cables, Rigetti Ridolfi, Douglas Wheels, Max Torque Clutches and Azusa Engineering, T Karts has been able to develop proprietary components for the T2 to maximize performance and reliability. The frame rails of the new T2 are CNC bent using state-of-the-art equipment and hand welded by master craftsmen. Following fabrication, completed chassis are sand blasted and powder coated in three standard or dozens of custom colors. Aluminum components such as the rear seat mount and brake caliper mount are CNC machined and black anodized for precision and longevity.
